When Coming Out Is A Death Sentence: Policy Strategies to discuss the persecution of women and LGBT persons under ISIS and In Iraq

Join Tarab NYC on April 14th at the CUNY Law School for a discussion about the persecution of women and LGBT persons under ISIS and in Iraq. Special guest Yanar Mohammed will be joining us all the way from Iraq! Let's get our community together to show support and solidarity! Please RSVP by emailing Kathy Rojas at rojas@law.cuny.edu and kindly include a note that you heard about this through Tarab NYC. The program will start roughly at 5PM, and since we know that may be too early for some of you, we understand if you need to come late. In addition, you are also welcome to join for just the reception (With Iraqi Music) that begins roughly at 6:30PM. (Wine and hors d'oeuvre will be served!) The event will end at 8ish.
