Artist Bios:
Hailing form the south, Mike Batusic is a southern gent with Northern placement and has been performing professionally in regional theatres for the past 10 years. Most recently, he has shared the stage with Annie Golden in a reading of 'Fine and Dandy' and can be heard crooning alongside Broadways favorites Faith Prince, Rebecca Luker, Brad Oscar, Montego Glover, Christopher Fitzgerald and Kate Baldwin on the Library of Congress' recording of "Life begins at 8:40". Recently finishing a tour of the NE with the show 'The Jetsetters, A Musical Tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons', where he received the rave review "Batusic is a charming and power house performer with a velvety tongue and a sinister smirk, you don't know whether to pinch his cheek or smack him in the face". In addition to performing regionally, Mike has been seen and heard across Asia and Japan.
Chris Vaughn is a farm boy originally from upstate New York. International credits include The Genie in Disney's Aladdin. NYC/Touring: National Tour of Forever Plaid, Fine and Dandy starring Annie Golden, The Cradle Will Rock(Theatre1010), The Showgirl of 52nd Street (original cast), and the cast recording of Life Begins at 8:40, starring Faith Prince. Katie Zaffrann is an actress, singer and producer dedicated to promoting the human spirit and speaking truth. Carol Hickey has been acting & singing in and around New York City for the past 17 years. This performance marks her first real foray into cabaret and she couldn’t be more excited to tell a story in this new way. Her true passion has always been developing new works. Luckily, she was able to start her career in New York as Penelope Pennywise in the critically acclaimed 1999 NYC International Fringe Festival version of “Urinetown! The Musical!” for which she received an OOBR award. She continued seeking out new musicals and plays to be part of and has worked with many wonderful Off-Broadway and off-off broadway theater company’s including: MT Works, Confluence Theater Company, Prospect Theater as well as Variations Theater Company at the Chain. Carol received a BFA in musical theater from Point Park College and is a graduate of the William Esper Studio.
David J. Baldwin has performed solo roles with several local opera companies, including New York Opera Exchange, Palisades Opera, and Martina Arroyo’s Prelude to Performance. He sang the role of Tiresias in The Bard Music Festival’s production of Stravinsky’s Oedipus Rex. He is also grateful to have performed with the choruses of The Metropolitan Opera (including the Grammy-Award-winning production of Wagner’s Ring Cycle), The American Symphony Orchestra, Church of the Transfiguration, and Soho Synagogue. David is a frequent music-director at NYC’s historic Duplex Cabaret Theater, appearing with veterans of Broadway and The Metropolitan Opera in performances of jazz standards and musical theater favorites. When he’s not singing, David enjoys training for marathons and working out with his wacky friends at Mark Fisher Fitness. A former resident of Chicago, David performed there with such local institutions as Lyric Opera of Chicago, Chicago Symphony Chorus, Music of the Baroque, Opera for the Young, The Bailiwick Theater, and Light Opera Works. An accomplished pianist, he accompanied himself in performances for the American Cancer Society, accompanied students in Solo and Ensemble competitions, and played for local high school musical productions. As a member of Chicago’s Vox 3 Collective, he made his debut in the company’s 3-show residency at Uncommon Ground, performing everything from Harold Arlen to Stephen Schwartz to Henry Purcell. David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Taylor University and a Master’s Degree in Performance Studies-Voice from Bowling Green State University.
